Locating edge position and crystal orientation of silicon wafers
Silicon wafers generally have three types of crystal orientation: <111><110><100>.
When the angle between the primary and secondary positioning edges is 45°, the wafer type is n-type <111>;when the angle between the primary and secondary positioning edges is 90°, the wafer type is p-type <100>;and when the angle between the primary and secondary positioning edges is 180°, the wafer type is n-type <100>.
Since <110> crystal direction, is not the mainstream wafer crystal direction, so there is no standard to express, according to the wafer supplier's own standard to express <110> crystal direction.
